2006 Lexus LX 470

The 2006 Lexus LX 470, like its 2005 counterpart, is driven by a V8 engine of similar volume – 4.7-liters. The four-wheel drive is common to both the models. The transmission is still 5-speed automatic. In fact, the only thing that seems to have changed is the performance.

Even though the configuration does not appear to have changed significantly since the last model, it bears a significant enhancement of at least 40 horsepower more than the '05 LX 470. This means that the 2006 model is capable of generating up to 275hp. The mileage on highways has been tuned down to 17mpg, but the off-road mileage (13mpg) is still close to the 2005 make.

The 2006 Lexus LX 470 has multi-point fuel injection which helps with both responsiveness and fuel economy. Features like the new Night View system, backup assistance camera, adjustable shock absorbers and an impressive entertainment system make this SUV an attractive choice for buyers and enthusiasts alike.

2005 Lexus LX 470

The 2005 Lexus LX 470 belongs to the second generation of the LX series. This powerhouse SUV was based on the acclaimed Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle is tuned for off-road performance, combining the rugged power of an all-terrain vehicle with the trademark elegance of Lexus.

A 4.7-liter V8 engine powers the 2005 Lexus LX 470, backed up by multi-point fuel injection and an auxiliary transmission cooling system. Running on unleaded fuel, the SUV can deliver as high as 18mpg off the highway.

The '05 LX 470 has a fuel tank of capacity 25.4 gallons. The five-speed transmission in the vehicle is automatic. The LX 470 delivers both off-road capability and the smooth ride Lexus is known for. Driving assistance features like a back-up assistance camera are also installed.
